The Challenge: Embracing Industry 4.0
STAKMA is a global leader, renowned for producing world-class pallet manufacturing hardware. However, in the era of Industry 4.0, leadership requires more than just world-class hardware; it requires a world-class digital experience. STAKMA's leadership recognized a strategic challenge: their customers' workflow—from programming the machines to tracking production—was a fragmented, manual process. This created operational blind spots and inefficiencies that hardware alone couldn't solve.
The vision was clear: to move beyond selling machines and begin delivering a fully integrated, smart production ecosystem. They needed a dedicated engineering partner capable of architecting a robust Industry 4.0 platform from the ground up.
Our Partnership: A Phased Approach to Digital Transformation
To deliver on the promise of Industry 4.0, our partnership with STAKMA was built on a phased, strategic approach, ensuring each step delivered immediate value while building towards the larger vision.
Phase 1: The G-Code Visualizer. We began by tackling the most complex manual task: machine programming. We developed a powerful web-based tool allowing STAKMA’s clients to upload, visually edit, and optimize G-code templates, drastically reducing setup time.
Phase 2: The IoT Data Backbone. Next, we built the core of the system. Leveraging a robust stack including .NET, MQTT, and RabbitMQ, we created a secure data pipeline, allowing every machine to send real-time production analytics to a central platform.
Phase 3: The "Single Pane of Glass." With data flowing, we created a custom web application giving each of STAKMA's clients a secure portal. Here, they have a "digital twin" of their factory floor, with real-time dashboards showing machine status, production counts, and operational efficiency.
Phase 4: Closing the Loop. Finally, we enabled remote command-and-control. STAKMA's clients can now manage production orders directly from the web portal, sending them to any machine in their fleet with a single click.
